Mirbek Sydygaliev

Mirbek is a consultant working closely with the International Law team, with a focus on international legal issues in Central Asia. He has an academic background in Law and Diplomatic Studies, first as a Fullbright Scholar at the University of Washington and then at the University of Oxford. 

In his professional career to date, Mirbek has lectured in International Law and worked in the International Legal Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic. Alongside this, he has been active in the promotion of research and dialogue on International Law issues in Central Asia, notably founding an International Law discussion platform in collaboration with the government of the Kyrgyz Republic and other civil society organisations.
