Jamie Trinidad

Dr Trinidad KC is a senior barrister, qualified in both England and Wales and Gibraltar. Alongside leading Albertson’s International Law team, he is a legal academic at the University of Cambridge with over 20 years of experience in International Law specialising in Territory (Land and Sea), Self-determination, The Use of Force and The Practice of International Courts and Tribunals. He regularly provides advisory services to a diverse range of clientele including private corporate clients, financial institutions, regulators and other public bodies, notably the Government of Gibraltar, and has worked on numerous cases before the ICJ.

He is Fellow, Tutor and Director of Studies in Law at Wolfson College and a Fellow of the Lauterpacht Centre for International Law at the University of Cambridge, publishing widely in the areas of International Territorial Disputes, Self-determination and Human Rights. He has authored Self-Determination in Disputed Colonial Territories (Cambridge University Press 2018) and numerous articles in journals such as the British Yearbook of International Law and the Leiden Journal of International Law.
